FAQ

1) Do you provide the OpenAI API key? What do I need to prepare?
You bring your own OpenAI API key. We don’t sell keys, and we don’t mark up OpenAI usage.
2) Is my OpenAI key safe?
Your key is stored on your own dedicated machine (not shared with other users). We never display it back in chat. You can replace it anytime.
3) Can I cancel anytime? Will I be charged again?
Yes. You can cancel anytime inside WhatsApp. After you cancel, you won’t be charged for the next month.
4) Can I use it in groups?
Not by default. This product is optimized for “message yourself” (self‑chat) to keep it private and reliable.
5) What if I accidentally unlinked the WhatsApp device? (Relink)
If you’re paid and your subscription is active, you can relink via your personal link on p.bothook.me using your UUID. We’ll verify the WhatsApp account matches before restoring access.
6) What models can I use?
You can use any OpenAI model available to your key (subject to OpenAI’s own limits). Defaults are tuned for quality and stability.
7) What are the limits? (speed / rate / usage)
Limits depend mostly on your OpenAI account and chosen model. Server resources are dedicated and always-on.
8) Where do I use the assistant?
In WhatsApp. The easiest way is to open your “Message yourself” chat and talk to the assistant there (self‑chat).
9) How do I recover my UUID?
Your UUID is saved on your server at /opt/bothook/UUID.txt. You can ask OpenClaw to print it, or SSH in and run cat /opt/bothook/UUID.txt.
10) What is my UUID link for?
Your UUID link (https://p.bothook.me/p/<uuid>?lang=<lang>) is your control page. It shows different actions based on your status: device linking (new users), relink/cancel/upgrade (active subscribers), or resubscribe (expired/canceled).
11) Can I share my UUID / UUID link with others?
No. Treat it like an account entry point. Do not post it publicly. If you need help, only share it with official support (support@bothook.me).
